Birthday week YEAYUH

This week was way awesome!!

We had interviews with President Leishman and those are always great! This upcoming Saturday we get our transfer calls and I'm guessing Elder T and I are both staying here.

On Tuesday we did some service with the sisters for a member in their ward and she's the best! She loves missionaries and fed us a ton of meat after we helped her remove blackberry bushes! She found out it was my birthday Saturday and broke out a bunch of cupcakes!

We went on exchanges with the zone leaders Elders M & M and we got a ton done in our area! We found some potentials and things are starting to pick up quite a bit here!

My birthday was on Saturday and it was an awesome day! We went out to a BBQ place for lunch with a bunch of Elders from the zone and our dinner appointment fed us good and finished off with a German chocolate cake!

Here's a way cool story for you: All throughout my birthday I was praying for us to find a super solid investigator and we worked hard all day. At the end of the day we had a few return appointments scheduled but no one super solid. Then we got a miracle call from a sister who I don't even know saying one of our potentials said he wants us to come by or call him and she gave me his number! We called and he said he wanted to learn everything and do everything he needed to join the church! He said he's willing to make huge changes in his life and he came to church with us yesterday! I was BLOWN AWAY!!

I got to conduct a couple baptismal interviews for the sisters' investigators yesterday and Saturday and they had some AWESOME people get baptized this weekend! It's such a blessing to be able to interview these people and just see the excitement in their eyes as they answer the questions, it's very testimony building for me.

Sorry for the novel this week, I love you all!!

Last 18-year-old group email!

Hey everyone!

I turn 19 on Saturday so that is gonna be way weird, that makes this my last group email as an 18- year-old! This week has been good! We had our zone conference training to prepare to get smartphones and that was way cool!

On Saturday we went on exchanges with the Olympia 3rd Elders. Their area contains downtown Olympia so I got to walk around there a bit and it was way cool! They are a bike area so I got to experience what it would be like on bike! It was way fun but I can see why no one wants to do it haha. They are way cool people too so it was a lot of fun!

Yesterday at church some members randomly brought a friend, so after we knocked 5-7s we went to go visit them and see what it was all about. The friend was at their house and was not a member! He had a lot of questions and we got to teach him a lot! Unfortunately he lives near the border of Canada and Washington so he won't be one of our investigators. Fortunately he has heard our message and is willing to keep commitments and learn more! The gospel of Jesus Christ gives rest to the weary and answers questions of the soul. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be preaching it!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Visit from a Seventy

Hey everyone!

This week was a pretty cool one! The work isn't going exactly the way we want it to but Elder Terry and I continue on!

On Thursday we had Elder John C. Pingree of the 70 visit for a mission tour! He gave us some trainings and they were super spiritually uplifting. We mainly talked about the importance of using the Book of Mormon and members in our teaching. It really helped me gain a deeper appreciation for the Book of Mormon! He is a way cool and funny guy and he brought such a great spirit with him. I also got to see a lot of the missionaries I've served around and that's always a ton of fun!

I love you all!

Another Week Bites the Dust

Hey everyone!

This week has been great as always! The work is still about the same. We helped with some construction work for a member so that was fun!

We knocked into this guy named K and he invited us in for a while. He had a really nice house and he was a way cool guy! He wasn't very interested in the message we had to share but by the end of the visit he told us he would be proud to have us as his sons! (He may have had some glasses of wine before we got there) But that was a really fun experience and we are hoping to meet with him again and hopefully have a more gospel related conversation.

We have Elder Pingree of the 70 coming this week for a mission tour so that will be awesome! I'm looking forward to it!

I love you all!!
