The girl on the picture is one of Nic's instructors at the MTC and coincidentally a former Italy Rome former missionary who served with Rob. Small world! Here's week number 2. Apparently Sunday is not a day of rest at the MTC when you're a zone leader. Who knew?
😉 He's still loving it, except not the food so much. It's always about the food with this kid. He is his mother's son. He can email back today Tuesday all day if you e-mail him.
"Every week here at the MTC feels so long yet so short, I think about the last P day and it felt like two days ago. Then again, I think about all my classes and all the people I talk to and I think I've been here at least a month, it's weird.
We had our first normal Sunday a couple days ago and I gotta say it's definitely not a day of rest, especially as a Zone Leader. First off, we have to plan the entire Sunday which consists of the whole sacrament meeting and both priesthood meetings, so since we have so many elders in our zone, we have to plan who's going where and who's teaching those classes. First thing Sunday morning we have a meeting with just the zone leaders, branch presidency, and sister training leaders, and our branch president (President Judd), is super intimidating and never hesitates to correct us if we use and word besides "Elder or Sister." Especially it being fast Sunday, things went so much slower. They had us doing a bunch of busy work because we didn't have a mission conference as we usually do so it made things hard. There was no better feeling than sitting down to dinner that Sunday evening.
I gave two blessings this week and they were the first blessings I have ever personally given. It's insane how I didn't even think of what to say but the spirit just opened my mouth for me.
We got a new district last Wednesday and we're already getting along great, I actually have handshakes with most of them at this point. I have handshakes with all the Elders, including my teachers.
All in all I'm still loving it here, besides the food that's a whole other story.
Love y'all (got that from Elder Benton)
-Elder Goldsberry"
